Bridging Brain Science and Mental Health Practice
I'm Dr. Chad Luke—a counselor educator, writer, and researcher dedicated to integrating neuroscience with counseling and psychotherapy. For over two decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of mental health, education, and scientific inquiry, helping clinicians and students alike make meaningful connections between brain-based science and real-world practice.
As a professor in a graduate counseling program, I teach courses on diagnosis, treatment planning, and the integration of neuroscience into clinical work. My writing includes peer-reviewed publications, practical resources for therapists, and the widely-used book Neuroscience for Counselors and Therapists, now in its third edition. My research focuses on well-being, neuroplasticity, and the ways cultural and developmental factors shape human experience.
Whether you're a student, clinician, or curious reader, I invite you to explore resources, insights, and tools that support evidence-informed, compassionate mental health care.
